Milbank Deepens Bench with Addition of Dickson Minto’s London Private Equity Team

Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that the London Private Equity team of Dickson Minto has today joined the firm’s London office.

This team is led by Jordan Simpson and is one of the longest-established private equity teams in London. They bring a wealth of experience advising on complex and innovative transactions. In London, the team acts for a broad range of fund managers, private equity houses and corporations.

The Dickson Minto London private equity team comprises six partners, one special counsel and fourteen associates, all of whom are now based in Milbank’s London office at 100 Liverpool Street. 

The six partners are as follows:

Paul Buchan represents a broad range of private equity houses, financial sponsors and other stakeholders on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, bolt-ons and reorganisations across numerous sectors and geographies. 

James McClymont acts for private equity houses, financial sponsors, management teams and other stakeholders on corporate transactions of all types – including leveraged buyouts, minority investing, consortium deals, secondary directs, portfolio company bolt-ons and management incentivisation.

Ajal Notowicz advises clients on UK, EU and multinational antitrust notifications, competition law compliance and FDI matters. He has particular experience in counselling private equity firms and industrial clients on global antitrust and FDI approval proceedings across a wide range of sectors.

Andrew Nuthall focuses on private equity transactions, including the related management incentive plans. He represents a broad range of private equity clients, financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on private M&A, leveraged buyouts, co-control and minority investments, restructurings and exit transactions.

Jordan Simpson advises private equity houses, financial sponsors and other stakeholders on a wide range of corporate transactions – from private acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority investing, consortium deals and portfolio company bolt-ons, through to full, partial and staged exits.

Lara Watt focuses on corporate aspects of private equity transactions. With extensive experience advising on primary and secondary buyouts, portfolio company bolt-on acquisitions and carve-outs, Lara counsels sponsors and other shareholders on complex M&A transactions in a wide range of geographies and sectors.

Milbank has expanded its global corporate and private equity capabilities over the past few years, including the additions of partners Richard Presutti, Andrew Fadale, Antonio Diaz-Albertini and Neil Whoriskey in New York, Lisa O’Neill and Andrej Wolf in London, Barbara Mayer-Trautmann and Markus Muhs in Germany and Andrew Whan, Neeraj Budhwani, Davide Mencacci and John Bona in Hong Kong.
