Davide Mencacci

Primary Focus & Experience 

Mr. Mencacci regularly advises both Asian and European banks, private equity providers, sponsors and borrowers across a variety of sectors, including real estate, technology, aqua/agriculture, manufacturing and life sciences, among others.

Highlights of Davide’s experience, prior to joining Milbank, includes advising:

• The mandated lead arrangers and underwriters of the financing for Permira’s acquisition of Neuraxpharm, a pharmaceuticals business focused on treating central nervous system disorders;
• The mandated lead arrangers and underwriters of the financing for Permira’s acquisition of Golden Goose, an Italian luxury fashion brand renowned for its sneakers;
• The mandated lead arrangers and underwriters of the financing in connection with KKR and GIC’s investment in Metro Pacific hospitals, the healthcare division of Metro Pacific Investments in the Philippines that runs 14 hospitals;
• The mandated lead arrangers and underwriters of the financing for the take-private of LCY Chemical Corp, a Taiwanese polypropylene producer; and
• The mandated lead arrangers and underwriters of the financing for Platinum Equity’s take-private of Singapore’s PCI, a leading electronics manufacturing services provider.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Prior to joining Milbank Mr. Mencacci was a partner at a Magic Circle law firm practicing in London, Milan and Hong Kong. He also served as the Global Head of Banking at his previous firm. He is recognized as a leading lawyer for his finance work in the most recent editions of Chambers Global, Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500 Asia Pacific. In IFLR1000, Mr. Mencacci was recognized as a “Highly Regarded” lawyer for his expertise in Banking, Capital Markets: Structured Finance and Securitisation as well as Financial Restructuring in Hong Kong. In 2023, Mr. Mencacci was recognized by Business Today as one of the Top 10 Influential Banking & Finance Lawyers Advancing China’s Acquisition Finance.
