Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that Rami Turayhi has joined its New York office as a partner in the firm’s Corporate/M&A Group, with a focus on investment funds and asset management.
“We warmly welcome Rami to Milbank,” said Milbank Chairman Scott A. Edelman. “Rami is a highly regarded practitioner with extensive fund formation experience and a strong reputation for advising premier clients on sophisticated, market-defining work. His arrival enhances the firm’s investment funds and asset management capabilities and positions us to support clients as fundraising structures and regulatory considerations continue to evolve.”

His practice also encompasses US investment adviser formation and registration, the structuring of bespoke sponsor mechanics and carried interest arrangements, and the negotiation of funds-of-one and managed accounts to address complex commercial and investor considerations.
“Rami brings a sophisticated and well-rounded funds practice, with deep experience advising sponsors and investment managers across a wide range of strategies,” said Dean Sattler, leader of the firm’s US Corporate/M&A Group. “His experience aligns seamlessly with our clients’ needs and enhances our ability to deliver fully integrated advice across fund formation, M&A and other complex transactions.”
Milbank has significantly expanded its global corporate and M&A capabilities over the past few years, including the recent additions of partners Maurice Conway in Singapore; Jan Häller in Frankfurt; Evan Roberts in Los Angeles; Derek Winokur, Rick Presutti, Antonio Diaz-Albertini, Paul Bennett and Edward Lemanowicz in New York; a team of 30 attorneys in London including partners Jordan Simpson, James McClymont and Andrew Nuthall; partners Barbara Mayer-Trautmann and Markus Muhs in Germany; and partners Andrew Whan, Neeraj Budhwani, Davide Mencacci and John Bona in Hong Kong.
“The opportunity to work alongside Milbank’s leading corporate, finance and industry teams is what drew me to the firm, and I am excited to help build out a full-service fund formation and investment funds offering for the firm’s sponsor and investor clients,” said Mr. Turayhi. “I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to serve our clients as they develop their investment strategies and structures.”
