Rami Turayhi is a partner in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Global Corporate/M&A Group.

Primary Focus & Experience

Mr. Turayhi’s practice is focused on investment funds and asset management, representing fund managers in the structuring, formation and operation of private equity funds, including buyout funds, real estate funds, energy and infrastructure funds, funds-of-funds, single asset vehicles, family office vehicles and co-investment funds, as well as hedge funds, funds-of-one and managed accounts. He also advises investment funds clients on bespoke sponsor mechanics and carry structures.

Mr. Turayhi regularly advises on US securities law matters such as registration and compliance under Securities Act of 1933, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. He also has broad experience dealing with ESG and impact and sustainability matters.

Previously, Mr. Turayhi was a corporate partner at international law firms. He also served as a diplomat for the US Department of State, and was an energy and power investment banker at an international investment bank.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Mr. Turayhi received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a staff editor of Columbia Business Law Review. He received his M.A. and B.S. from Georgetown University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a FLAS Fellow.

He is recognized by Legal 500 in Investment Fund Formation and Management: Private Equity Funds (including Venture Capital).

Mr. Turayhi speaks both Spanish and Arabic.
