Milbank LLP advised Andra Tech Group, a portfolio company of Castik Capital, on its acquisition of F.K. Instrument Co., LLC, a manufacturer specializing in high precision machining of parts and components. The acquisition is the first step in Andra Tech Group’s strategy to grow and scale its operations beyond Europe. Following the acquisition, Andra Tech Group now consists of 11 companies, operating on 13 production sites.
F.K. Instrument was founded in Long Island in 1952. The company employs over 90 people and specializes in ultra-critical tolerance machining of complex parts and components, such as precision instrument parts, electromechanical assemblies, and optical housings for the semiconductor, aerospace and defense markets.
Andra Tech Group specializes in producing high-quality precision mechanical parts and modules. The over 800 technical professionals employed by Andra Tech Group serve customers in various industries, including semicon, packaging, food, mobility, medical and aerospace. The group is known for its knowledge and expertise in machining (exotic) metals and plastics. The latest technologies are used – such as 3D printing and laser technologies – and a number of companies have state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities. Andra Tech Group manufactures parts in prototypes, small to medium-sized batches and large series.
