Milbank LLP was recognized with top honors at the Legal 500 Colombia Awards 2026, which were presented at a gala held in Bogotá on February 3, 2026. The firm was awarded “International Firm of the Year” in addition to securing the “Deal of the Year (M&A)” award for its work advising Millicom on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Coltel from Telefónica.
The Milbank team on the Millicom-Telefonica transaction was led by Corporate/M&A partners Francisco Nuñez and Scott Golenbock, special counsel John Garces, associates Steve Ahn and Sarah Griffin and international attorney Luis Felipe Garcia Rubio.
