Claire Bridcut is a partner in the London office of Milbank LLP. Claire has broad experience of structured finance and derivative transactions, in particular working on CLOs and bespoke structured lending deals, together with portfolio total return and credit default swaps and other significant risk transfer trades. She also advises on the related UK/EU regulatory framework, focusing on the EU/UK risk retention regime as it applies to both EU and US securitisation transactions. Key representations include major European and US banks and asset managers, such as KKR, BNP Paribas, Invesco, JP Morgan and Park Square to name a few.

Primary Focus & Experience

Claire has developed a broad structured finance practice, covering securitisation across multiple asset classes (in particular CLOs) and derivatives, together with other bespoke structured lending transactions and significant risk transfer trades.

Her securitisation experience includes the representation of both managers and arrangers on European and US CLO transactions with a particular focus on regulatory aspects such as EU/UK risk retention compliance. Her derivatives experience includes advising on TRS financing arrangements and portfolio CDS transactions. In addition, Claire also advises on a number of bespoke structured lending and fund financing matters.

Claire is recognised as a leading lawyer in Expert Guides’ Rising Stars guide for 2022 and 2021, and winner of the IFLR Rising Stars Awards EMEA 2021 in the structured finance & securitisation category.
