Milbank’s Structured Credit Team Retains #1 Global Ranking on 9fin’s 1H 2025 CLO League Tables

Milbank LLP’s Structured Credit team heads into the second half of the year positioned at the top of CLO league tables globally. On 9fin’s Q2 2025 law firm rankings, the team has once again been ranked:

• #1 CLO Manager counsel globally
• #1 BSL CLO Manager counsel in the United States
• #1 CLO Manager counsel in Europe

According to 9fin, the US and European CLO markets are already on track to break last year’s record year. Milbank advised on 21.1% of the 660+ deals that priced in the global CLO market through the first half of the year, with Milbank’s US team claiming a 21.2% market share of those deals and the London team claiming 35.6% of the deals in the European CLO market, both on the manager counsel side. Milbank’s structured credit team has already advised on 145 deals valued at over $64.5 billion globally – more than triple the number of deals than the second-ranked law firm. In the US, Milbank was Manager counsel on 99 BSL deals – also amounting to more than three times the number of deals over the second-place firm.

The team, which has held a top place within the market, was shortlisted as “Securitization and Structured Finance Team of the Year” at the 2025 IFLR Americas Awards, named “Structured Finance and Securitization Team of the Year” at the 2024 IFLR Americas Awards and named “Structured Finance Practice Group of the Year” 2023 by Law360.
