Milbank’s Structured Credit Team Leads in 9fin’s Q1 2025 CLO Law Firm Rankings for Global, US and Europe

Starting the year off at the top of league table rankings, Milbank LLP’s Structured Credit team was ranked as the #1 CLO Manager counsel globally, #1 BSL CLO Manager counsel in the US and #1 CLO Manager counsel in Europe in 9fin’s Q1 2025 law firm rankings, solidifying its top position in the market. 

According to 9fin, Milbank’s US team closed out the first quarter claiming a 24.3% market share on CLO deals and Milbank’s London team was the busiest European firm on the CLO manager counsel side. Once again securing a significant percentage of the market, Milbank was manager counsel on 87 deals valued at over $39 billion globally – more than double the number of deals than the second-place law firm. In the US, Milbank was Manager counsel on 65 BSL deals – amounting to more than three times the number of deals than the second-place firm.

The team, led by partner and Practice Group Leader Sean M. In addition to this recognition as the most active law firm on the manager side, Milbank is shortlisted for “Securitization and Structured Finance Team of the Year” at the 2025 IFLR Americas Awards. The team was named “Structured Finance and Securitization Team of the Year” at the 2024 IFLR Americas Awards and named “Structured Finance Practice Group of the Year” 2023 by Law360, and the practice and individual partners are also highly ranked in structured finance and securitization by Chambers, Legal500 and IFLR1000.
