What is on the horizon for infrastructure in the United States? Milbank Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner Allan Marks will serve as conference chair for the inaugural Infraday West conference, a 1-day forum that will bring together an elite group of over 300 infrastructure leaders in the public and private sectors on December 5 to discuss the direction of US infrastructure in 2019 and examine the related challenges, priorities and prospects.

Infraday West will gather local, state and federal authorities with developers of some of the most important infrastructure and transportation projects in the Western US, as well as the top financiers, consultants, builders, engineers and technology innovators. The conference will explore how capital projects intersect with innovation and risk to identify new opportunities in infrastructure and develop critical solutions to challenges facing the market.

In addition to welcoming conference attendees with opening remarks, Mr. Marks will be moderating a panel that examines the unique and complex challenges of investing in infrastructure assets and provides insight into the best way to invest in and effectively finance infrastructure projects. The panel will also look at the role of private capital and institutional investment in the delivery of major infrastructure projects. Mr. Marks has extensive experience representing developers, investors and lenders in the development, financing and acquisition of complex infrastructure projects worldwide, with special expertise in the energy, transportation and water sectors. Among the projects he has worked on are toll roads in California, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Indiana and Illinois, airport modernization projects in New York and Los Angeles, water projects in California and Texas and a host of renewable energy and other infrastructure projects throughout the Americas.
