Milbank LLP represented leading commercial aircraft lessor Goshawk Aviation in connection with its acquisition of SKY Aviation Leasing International Limited (“SALI”). Goshawk will acquire the SALI aircraft leasing business, including 51 owned and committed aircraft. The acquisition will create a leasing business with an owned, managed and committed portfolio of 183 aircraft and a pro forma fleet value of $9.1bn, and will make Goshawk a top 10 aircraft leasing company within five years of its formation in late 2013.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2018, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
