Primary Focus & Experience
Nick focuses on corporate finance work across the transportation and space sectors. He advises arrangers, financiers, investors, leasing companies and operators on aircraft, maritime, satellite and other asset-based and receivables-backed finance and leasing transactions. He also advises on acquisitions and disposals of assets, asset portfolios and transportation-related businesses, as well as restructurings.
His financing experience encompasses all types of secured and unsecured loan and capital markets transactions (public and private), including tax-based structures and those involving complex risk participation and intercreditor elements. He regularly works on pre-delivery financings, project financings, Islamic financings, receivables financings, high yield and structured bonds (including EETCs), securitisations and other rated and unrated asset portfolio financings, as well as transactions involving export credit or other governmental support and/or credit insurance.
He has extensive experience of all types of operating and finance leases (including tax-based and Islamic structures). He also advises on OEM and supply contracts, as well as servicing and management arrangements.
He advises on the trading and repackaging of lease and loan portfolios, as well as sales and acquisitions of businesses in the sector and the establishment and operation of joint ventures and other investment and co-investment structures.
He has advised on numerous restructurings (both in-court and out-of-court), security work-outs and asset repossessions.
