In this round-up of recent developments in the London arbitration market during the first half of 2020, we highlight key decisions of the English Court of Appeal in relation to (i) determining the governing law of arbitration agreements and (ii) the extent to which the English courts can make orders against non-parties to arbitration agreements. We also summarise some of the most notable cases (and recently published court statistics) relating to challenges to awards and enforcement proceedings.
