Eric Seltzer is an associate in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm's Financial Restructuring Group.

Primary Focus & Experience

Mr. Seltzer's practice focuses primarily on the representation of lenders, debtors, and official and ad hoc committees of creditors in both in- and out-of-court restructurings and related litigation.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Mr. Seltzer received his J.D., cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law, where he served as a member of the St. John's Law Review, President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and Associate Vice President of the Student Bar Association. He also interned for Federal Judge Joanna Seybert of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Seltzer received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Marist College, where he was inducted into the Alpha Chi and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies. 

Mr. Seltzer has authored two scholarly publications. The First, entitled, "Russian Strategic Narratives on R2P in the 'Near Abroad'" addresses Russian rhetoric towards its interventions in Georgia and Ukraine through an international law framework. The second, "Affirmative Action Tested: The Constitutionality of 'Landscape'" addresses potential Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection challenges to the College Board's new program that considers students' socioeconomic status in the college admissions process.
