Ms. Chan discusses the importance of continued empowerment of women in the workplace and the need to see female representation in leadership.
On the topic of retaining women in global international law firms and facilitating their ascent to senior positions, Ms. Chan notes that the challenges for female lawyers mirror those encountered by any lawyer who works on complex matters with high client service demands, such as tight timelines, unpredictable deadlines and an ever-expanding workload.
