Milbank Litigation partner Fiona Schaeffer will speak on a panel titled “Non-Price Effects in Competition Analysis – Fact or Fiction?” at the Canadian Bar Association’s Competition Law Fall Conference on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Panelists will discuss the impact that non-price effects (impacts on quality, innovation, consumer choice, diversity of business models, and convenience) have on merger analysis, including how these effects are measured.
The conference brings together the Canadian and global competition law community, including enforcement officials, in-house counsel, plaintiffs’ lawyers, defense lawyers, academics, economists, and others. Attendees will gather to share knowledge, experience and advice regarding all areas of competition law.
