Milbank LLP partner Drew Fine was honored by Her Justice with a 2023 Commitment to Justice Award in recognition of his 18 years of service on the organization’s board of directors. Mr. Fine is chair of Milbank’s Finance Practice, leads the firm’s Transportation and Space Group, and is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
“Drew has worn many hats for the organization over the past three decades,” said Amy Barasch, Executive Director of Her Justice. “First a volunteer then a board member, donor and advocate. Most importantly, he is always a trusted friend. It has been a pleasure working with Drew for his 18 year of board service. At different times, he has served on the board’s executive committee both as chair and then secretary, and throughout has supported us with his incredible generosity. Most recently, his true pride and pleasure in serving on the Her Justice board has been our secret weapon when holding interviews for prospective board members. Drew’s loyalty is second to none.”
Milbank pro bono counsel Anthony Cassino added: “This award reflects Drew’s genuine and tireless dedication to the work of Her Justice. He has helped lead the organization for a long time and has been instrumental in driving many of its vital initiatives.”
“I am honored and proud to have been involved with Her Justice almost from the beginning,” said Mr. Fine. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my 18 years of board service. My proudest Her Justice work has been working directly with many Her Justice-referred clients over the years. The clients typically have had very challenging circumstances and are so grateful for the help we provide. This opportunity to give back is very gratifying. Her Justice is an amazing organization that provides help to so many women in need.”
Her Justice is a pro bono organization focused on training and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to women living in poverty in New York City.
