Milbank LLP has been recognized by India Business Law Journal as one of the world's top foreign law firms for India-related matters in 2025. The award reflects Milbank's continued excellence in serving clients across India's corporate landscape and the firm's robust connections within the Indian legal community.

India Business Law Journal noted that Milbank "earns a place in the top 15 after a stellar year on high-profile projects, M&A deals and capital markets matters." The recognition follows a stellar few years of high-profile India work, including advising Italy's export credit agency, SACE, on $1 billion equivalent of financing for Reliance Industries for green projects, representing finance parties on the $1.4 billion financing of Adani ConneX's hyperscale data centers in Pune and Hyderabad, and advising on the sale of a controlling interest in Manipal Hospitals to Singapore's Temasek

The award comes alongside individual recognition for three Milbank partners. Earlier this year, India Business Law Journal named partners James Grandolfo, Neeraj Budhwani and John Dewar to its 2025 International A-List for their expertise in advising on the international aspects of India-related matters. The publication noted that "A-List lawyers have become indispensable advisers on India-related matters, bridging jurisdictions and driving transactions and disputes that fuel India's engagement with the world."

"We are honored to be recognized by India Business Law Journal for the second consecutive year among the world's top foreign law firms for India-related matters," said James Grandolfo, Milbank Global Corporate Finance and Securities partner and Hong Kong office managing partner. "This recognition reflects our team's deep commitment to serving clients across India's dynamic markets and our continued investment in understanding the unique opportunities and challenges that define this critical region."
