Milbank LLP International Arbitration partner Viren Mascarenhas will speak on two panels at the 2024 California International Arbitration Week (CIAW). The event is hosted by the California Lawyers Association and takes place March 11–14, 2024 in San Francisco, CA.
On March 12, Mr. Mascarenhas will join the “International Arbitration of Crypto-related Disputes” panel, which focuses on jurisdictional and governing law issues in crypto-related arbitrations, quantification in crypto disputes, procedural safeguards, creditor protection, and enforcement of crypto-related awards obtained through international arbitration. He will also speak on the “SEP, FRAND and Arbitration in IP Hotspots” panel on March 13. The panel will offer insight into how SEPs and FRAND terms are handled in different jurisdictions, emphasizing the significance of venue selection in resolving IP disputes.
Mr. Mascarenhas has nearly two decades of experience and specializes in international arbitration (commercial, construction and investment arbitration), public international law and business and human rights.
