Litigation associate Patricia Astorga will moderate a panel, "From the Inside Out: Perspectives of Minority In-House Counsel," at the American Bar Association Section of Litigation Annual Conference on April 13, 2016. The panel will explore the experiences of diverse minority in-house counsel over the last two decades. Panelists will discuss their paths to becoming in-house counsel, challenges they overcame and obstacles they continue to face. The panel will also address the dynamics of managing outside counsel, dealing with adversaries and the court and professional development in-house.
Panelists will include Rudy Figueroa (General Counsel, Mitsui Rail Capital LLC); Randy Hayman (former General Counsel, DC Water); Caroline Tsai (Deputy General Counsel & Chief Regulatory Officer at BMO Financial Group); Ernest Tuckett (General Counsel Americas, AkzoNobel); and Michael Wu (General Counsel, Carters).
Ms. Astorga is a co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation Minority Trial Lawyers Committee and has held various leadership roles in the ABA Section of Litigation Minority Trial Lawyers Committee and Corporate Counsel Committee. The Section Annual Conference will be held in Chicago from April 13-15, 2016.
