Milbank LLP advised Veritas Capital, a longstanding investor in companies operating at the intersection of technology and government, and its portfolio company Guidehouse, on a definitive agreement under which Guidehouse will acquire Grant Thornton LLP’s Public Sector Advisory practice.
The transaction adds a talented roster of professionals in Washington, DC, and other US cities to Guidehouse. These professionals possess extensive experience providing federal, state and local governments with solutions in areas that include finance, human-capital management, information technology, data analytics and performance management.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Milbank deal team was led by Global Corporate partner Richard Presutti along with associates Lowell Dyer and Douglas Howell. The team also included Global Capital Markets partner Antonio Diaz-Albertini, along with associate Christina Chaplygina, Executive Compensation partner Mike Shah and Tax partner Max Goodman.
