Milbank LLP advised Unite Us, a New York-based technology firm that builds coordinated health and social service care networks, in connection with the acquisition of NowPow, a Chicago-based referral platform grounded in science and community. The transaction closed on September 21, 2021.
Unite Us’ platform allows healthcare and social service providers across sectors to send and receive secure electronic referrals, track patients’ total health journey, and report on outcomes in a centralized, cohesive, and collaborative ecosystem. The acquisition of NowPow’s personalized community referral platform will help reduce the fragmentation that exists between health and social care networks to enable better care coordination and support.
The acquisition of NowPow follows Unite Us’ acquisition of Carrot Health, allowing NowPow to gain access to Carrot Health’s data-driven solutions.
