The international law firm Milbank LLP has advised Funke Mediengruppe in relation to its refinancing of an existing € 580 million facilities agreement.
The new facilities agreement reduces the borrowing costs of Funke Mediengruppe and provides more independence for future transactions in order to implement the growth strategy in print and digital business.
The consortium of the financing banks was led by Unicredit Bank AG, Bayerische Landesbank, Commerzbank AG and Norddeutsche Landesbank-Girozentrale and included six banks from the existing consortium as well as one new bank.
Funke Mediengruppe with headquarters in Essen and more than 6,000 employees is a leading German media group with diverse participations in print and digital business in Germany and other European countries.
