Singapore-based Milbank partner Jacqueline Chan was recently interviewed by National University of Singapore’s COV-AID organization regarding the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on cross-border transactions. The interview was part of COV-AID’s “Conversations with Lawyers” virtual seminar series, in which leading international and local legal practitioners shared insights on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their particular fields of expertise.

Ms. Chan shared her observations and insights on how the Covid-19 pandemic had affected cross-border deals generally, the ways that the international deal market post-Covid-19 is expected to transform and how the role of an international cross-border attorney facilitating cross-border transactions has changed since the start of the pandemic.

COV-AID is an organization created by law students from the National University of Singapore to help Singaporeans understand and more easily navigate changes to laws, regulations and practices that have occurred as a result of the pandemic, and how these may impact them, their business or community.
