Partner Jacqueline Chan was recently recognized as one of Asia’s top 15 M&A Lawyers for 2021 by Asian Legal Business. The awards celebrate the top M&A lawyers in the Asia region who, through their deal work, have assisted clients in overcoming market challenges, created value, and shown commitment to positively driving industry transformation.
The award was given to just 15 lawyers from across nine countries in Asia.
Ms. Chan has advised on some of the region’s landmark M&A transactions, including: Udenna Corporation’s US$5.4 billion joint venture arrangement with China Telecommunications Corporation for Dito Telecommunity Corp., Asian Development Bank’s investment in Clifford Capital, private equity sellers in their sale of interests in PT Finansia Multi Finance, the US$685 million sale of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation’s interests in Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, Inc. and Warburg Pincus’s investment into Converge ICT Solutions.
In addition to her transactional work, Jacqueline leads many of Milbank’s pro bono efforts in Asia acting on 15 pro bono matters during 2020 spanning Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and India.
