The Conejo Solar Project won the award for “Mejor Cooperación de Energía Renovable del Año” at the 2015 Chilean International Renewable Energy Congress (CIREC) in Santiago, Chile. This award recognizes the project that had “the most positive impact on the development of the renewable energy industry in Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia or Argentina” and in which “all of the parties collaborated with a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, perseverance, innovation, and commitment to furthering the renewable energy industry.” Milbank represented the lenders in the financing of the 104 MW Conejo solar project, which is being developed by Pattern Energy Group LP to provide clean power to Minera Las Pelambres, Chile's largest copper mine. Milbank’s team included Allan Marks, Michael Dayen, Miguel Duran, Ryan Hart and Brian Lee.
