A culture of opportunity

Steered by a committee that includes female and male partners, we are committed to fostering a culture of opportunity and a platform for success at all levels.

The firm’s Diversity and Women’s Initiative committees collaborate closely with other key firm stakeholders to foster inclusion at Milbank and to support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of diverse and women lawyers.

We host leading women at our Speaker Series, promote pro bono opportunities that benefit women clients, and host career planning workshops, Lean In Circles and other events to enrich the careers of Milbank women lawyers.

Work-life success

Through its dedicated Balance@Milbank group, the Women’s Initiative collaborates with our firm’s leadership to make sure Milbank is helping all lawyers achieve the balance of work and life that’s most manageable for them. This commitment shows in our leading-edge policies, including full time flex-time and reduced hour arrangements, support for working parents from experienced, dedicated career coaches, and a robust extended personal leave and re-entry policy—as well as must-haves like parental leave, back-up child care, and nursing rooms.
