Milbank LLP has been named the leading international firm among Latin America’s largest corporations by Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) in its “Who Represents Latin America’s Biggest Companies?” series, published by Latin Lawyer.

LACCA conducts detailed research into which law firms advise Latin America’s largest 100 corporates, as ranked by revenue, and spotlights firms that were the most sought-after among companies across the region. LACCA ranked Milbank the top international firm, highlighting the firm’s representation of 39 of the 100 top-earning companies in the region.

“We are honored to be recognized as the most sought-after international law firm for Latin America’s largest companies,” said Marcelo Mottesi, chair of Milbank’s Corporate Finance and Securities practice and co-head of the firm’s Latin America Group. “This honor is a testament to the longstanding client relationships we have built as well as our team’s continued growth across the region.”

In 2023, Milbank advised half of the 10 largest companies in Latin America, spanning a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, telecoms, food and drink and mining and metals, across several countries, demonstrating Milbank’s commitment to the Latin America region and breadth and depth of experience.

“This recognition does not just underscore our strength in the region, but highlights the success of our clients,” said Jaime Ramirez, Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner and co-head of the firm’s Latin America practice. “It is a privilege to advise many of Latin America’s most influential companies, and we look forward to continuing to partner with clients on their market-shaping transactions.”
