Nathaniel Kiechel is an associate in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance and Securities Group.

Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Kiechel represents borrowers, sponsors and lenders in complex leveraged financings for private equity firms and their portfolio companies, both domestically and cross-border. His practice also consists of fund financings in both the subscription and asset backed spaces.
Some of his notable transactions include representing:
- Owl Rock Capital Partners in its acquisition of Nestlé Waters North America, owner of Poland Springs brand. The financing consisted of a $2.55 billion term loan B facility, a $350 million ABL revolving credit facility, and a $770 million offering of 6.250% senior notes.
- Goldman Sachs Bank USA in a series of $1 billion to $1.5 billion net asset value (NAV) loans to private equity firm Vista Equity Partners. These facilities were secured by Vista’s existing ownership stakes in portfolio companies, but allowed for further capital infusions and acquisitions by Vista.
- Prominent private equity firm in its $305 million financing for the buyout of an agricultural seeds business consisting of both term and ABL facilities.
- Singaporean governmental investor in raising $100 million “Fund of One” facility collateralized by its capital call obligations to the fund.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Kiechel received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He received his M.A. in Finance from Claremont McKenna College and his B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.
