Anya’s experience includes representing project sponsors and financial institutions in a range of domestic and international project financings across industrial sectors, including renewable and conventional power, oil and gas, infrastructure and mining.
Her recent experience includes representation of:
- The lenders in connection with the financing of the Lancium Clean Campus, comprising eight data center buildings with the aggregate capacity of 1,200 MW.
- A private equity sponsor in connection with the financing of a portfolio of assets, including combined cycle natural gas-fired power plants, with a total capacity of 5 GW.
- ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC in connection with a senior secured term loan, working capital and letter of credit facilities for Long Beach Generation LLC, a 252 MW natural gas producer in California.
- ArcLight Capital Partners as sponsor in connection with the approximately $153.9 million acquisition financing of the 570 MW Griffith Energy combined-cycle gas-fired power plant located in Kingman, Arizona from Star West Generation.
- Blackstone Credit in connection with the financing of its acquisition of 49% ownership interest in Elba Liquefaction Company, a joint venture entity of the Elba Island LNG facility.
- LS Power in connection with the refinancing of a three-project portfolio consisting of the 1,252 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle Jack County Project, the 267 MW natural gas or fuel oil-fired combined cycle Johnson County Project and the 538 MW natural gas or fuel oil-fired power plant RW Miller Project.
- LS Power in connection with the acquisition of over 3 GW of renewable, energy storage, flexible gas and renewable fuels generation capacity and approximately 1.8 GW of development projects in the US and Canada.
- The lenders in connection with a series of financings in connection with and for Brookfield’s acquisition of Duke Energy Renewables.
- The lenders in connection with the financing of the acquisition by North American Transmission Company II L.P. of membership interests of FirstEnergy Transmission, LLC.
- A consortium of international lenders in connection with the $2.5 billion financing of an expansion of the Centinela copper mine in Chile.
- The lenders in the construction debt financing of the $9.5 billion New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York (named 2022 “Americas P3 Deal of the Year” by PFI).
- The private placement investors in connection with Seaspan Corporation’s initial private placement and amendment and upsizing of a $2.5 billion vessel portfolio financing program, at the time the largest reported sustainability-linked USPP.
- The private placement investors in connection with the private placement of notes issued by ITR Concession Company, the operator of the Indiana Toll Road under a 75-year concession and lease agreement, proceeds of which were used to refinance the issuer’s existing capital expenditure facilities.
- The private placement investors in connection with the private placement of notes issued by Sun Jupiter Parent LLC, the indirect owner of El Paso Electric Company.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Anya earned her J.D. from Harvard University, where she served as an Executive Copy Editor for the Harvard International Law Journal. She received her B.A. in International Relations and English from Brown University, where she was a Royce Fellow. Anya is a native Russian speaker and proficient in Spanish.
