Milbank Transportation and Space special counsel Alexis Sáinz will deliver introductory remarks at the American Bar Association’s Forum on Air & Space Law’s Orbital Debris Mitigation: The View From Different Perspectives on Law & Policy on September 24, 2020. Ms. Sáinz, who is Co-Chair for the American Bar Association’s Committee on Space Law under the Forum on Air & Space Law, organized the program, where panelists will discuss a brief history of orbital debris policy, current national laws and implementation, international coordination and technology developments, as well as views on this topic from the commercial satellite industry and satellite insurance industry.
