Share

New Project Media (“NPM”) interviewed Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner Allan Marks for the latest episode of the NPM Interconnections Podcast. Mr. Marks looked at the current market and forecasted what might lie ahead for the rest of 2022.

In conversation with NPM Managing Editor Jon Berke, Mr. Marks:

  • highlighted the impacts of supply chain disruptions, rising interest rates and recent legislation on deal activity, leverage and valuations
  • explored how the shift to shorter-term power purchase agreements, hedging and non-utility corporate off-takers may affect bankability of new power projects and credit metrics
  • assessed energy technology trends – including energy storage and batteries, hydrogen, wind energy and solar power – comparing return expectations for different investors
  • analyzed what EVs and renewables might mean for grid reliability, resilience and sustainability as the energy transition leads to decarbonization of power generation and increased demand growth with electrification of the transportation sector

They covered a lot of ground in about 30 minutes.
