On October 15, 2021, Stacey J. Rappaport, a partner in Milbank’s Litigation & Arbitration Group, will speak at Fordham Law School’s Leadership Academy for the Advancement of Women in Law, on a panel titled “Family, Flexibility, and Flight—Keeping Women in the Profession.”
The Leadership Academy for the Advancement of Women in Law is an online program, designed by Fordham Law School, that empowers women lawyers to advance their careers and fulfill their leadership potential while offering important insights and tools to allies who wish to deepen their understanding of inclusivity in the legal profession. Ms. Rappaport, a former member of Milbank’s Global Executive Committee and a founding member of Milbank’s Women’s Initiative Committee, received her J.D. from Fordham Law School where she also served as a former adjunct professor. Recently, a leading directory for Women in Business Law honored Ms. Rappaport among elite women lawyers at the forefront of business law and recognized Milbank, among others, for initiatives supporting diversity within the industry.
During the event for the advancement of women in law, Ms. Rappaport will participate in a panel discussion on the following topics:

- What Do You Want? Being Motivated by Desire, Not Fear
- Flexible Arrangements: The Art of the Possible
- Don’t Leave Before You Leave
At Milbank, Ms. Rappaport represents some of the nation’s most distinguished corporations and financial institutions. Currently, she is leading the defense of major insurance companies in cost of insurance adjustment class action litigation. She serves on several non-profit boards, including the boards of Sanctuary for Families, Inc. and the Center for WorkLife Law at the University of California at Hastings.
