Litigation partner Michael Nolan moderated a panel at the Institute for Transnational Arbitration’s YAI Talks #DC on May 12, 2016, in Washington, DC. The panel, titled “Collection of ICSID Awards,” discussed the recent Dutch court decision regarding the Yukos award and the difficulties associated with collecting an investment treaty award against a sovereign government, as well as strategies for collecting on an award. The YAI Talks are a quarterly series of local events that cover a wide range of subjects relating to arbitration, aimed to learning, provoking conversation, and sharing knowledge and experiences among young practitioners.
