Milbank LLP Global Project, Energy & Infrastructure Finance partner John Dewar and associate Emily Whittaker co-authored the United Kingdom chapter in the 10th edition of International Comparative Legal Guide’s: Mining Law. The chapter, titled "United Kingdom: Mining Laws and Regulation 2023," covers common issues in mining laws and regulations – including the mechanics of acquisition of rights, rights to use surface of land, taxes and royalties, environmental aspects and native title and land rights.
