Milbank LLP Leveraged Finance special counsel Janet Nadile spoke on a panel titled “Annual UCC & Commercial Law Update” at the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys’ (ACFA) Continuing Legal Education Weekend on June 3, 2022. Ms. Nadile, along with Ed Smith from Morgan, Lewis and Steve Weise from Proskauer, presented on commercial law cases decided in 2021 and 2022, updates on the status of the Emerging Technology Amendments to the Uniform Commercial Code, the 2018 Amendments to 9-406 and 9-408 of the Uniform Commercial Code and the proposed TriBar Report on Opinions Under the 2022 Revisions to the UCC.
The program was held in New Orleans from June 3-5. ACFA members include in-house attorneys and attorneys in private practice who are national and international experts in middle-market commercial credit transactions and commercial bankruptcy matters. ACFA consists of a select group with members in more than thirty states and a number of foreign countries, with members' clients including most of the major banks, commercial finance companies and leasing companies. Ms. Nadile currently serves as President of the ACFA.
