Milbank LLP Transportation and Space partner Dara Panahy will moderate the panel “Funding SmallSat Endeavors From Conception Through Maturity” at the 8th annual SmallSat Symposium in Mountain View, California on February 7, 2023. Panelists will discuss trends in the shifting satellite market, including how overall investment in the space sector dropped in 2022 following a historical peak in 2021 and what this means for SmallSat companies seeking funding.
Mr. Panahy, leader of the firm’s Transportation and Space Group in Washington, DC, focuses on the representation of satellite operators, aerospace manufacturers, launch services providers, communications companies, banks, private equity firms and hedge funds in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and in negotiating commercial contracts. He also advises on regulatory, sanctions, anti-corruption, national security and export control matters.
The SmallSat Symposium, taking place February 7–9 at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley, is designed to bring together leaders in the satellite industry and provide an environment for communication, connection and networking.
