Milbank LLP Antitrust partner Fiona Schaeffer will moderate a panel of the Deputy Assistant Attorney Generals at the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division at the ABA’s 71st Antitrust Law Spring Meeting on March 29 in Washington, DC. The panel will provide an update on the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division enforcement priorities, policies and cases in mergers and joint ventures, as well as criminal and civil enforcement. Ms. Schaeffer is the Chair Elect of the Antitrust Law Section and will become Section Chair in August 2023.
“I am looking forward to serving as Chair of the Antitrust Law Section at this critical juncture in US and global antitrust/competition and consumer protection enforcement,” Ms. Schaeffer said. “I will be working to advance the thought leadership of the Section and its members around the world and to contribute to the dynamic debates on the goals and policies of antitrust and consumer protection laws and enforcement regimes in the US and internationally.”
The ABA Antitrust Law Section is the leading professional organization for antitrust and competition law, trade regulation, consumer protection, and economics. Ms. Schaeffer was formerly Chair of the Antitrust & Trade Regulation Committee of the New York City Bar Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Section.
