Milbank LLP has been recognized by India Business Law Journal as one of the world’s top foreign law firms for India-related matters in 2026. The award reflects Milbank’s continued excellence in serving clients across India’s corporate landscape and the firm’s robust connections within the Indian legal community. It is Milbank’s third consecutive year on the list.

India Business Law Journal noted that Milbank earns a place among the top firms after a strong year on high-profile projects, M&A deals and capital markets matters. The recognition follows a run of high-profile India work, including advising Apollo-managed funds and other long-term investors on a $750 million investment grade rated financing for Mumbai International Airport Ltd., an Adani Portfolio company and India’s largest private airport operator.

The award comes alongside individual recognition for three Milbank lawyers. Earlier this year, India Business Law Journal named James Grandolfo, Neeraj Budhwani and John Dewar to its 2026 International A-List for their expertise in advising on the international aspects of India-related matters. The publication noted that A-List lawyers have become indispensable advisers on India-related matters, bridging jurisdictions and driving transactions and disputes that fuel India’s engagement with the world.

Active in India for more than two decades, Milbank has advised clients on groundbreaking transactions, including complex cross-border deals, across the power and energy, oil and gas, finance and telecommunications sectors. The firm is well known for its deep experience in equity and debt offerings and M&A transactions throughout the region, and is consistently recognized as a leading international law firm by Chambers Asia Pacific, Legal 500 and other legal publications.
