Milbank Litigation associate Erik Wilson organized and hosted a moderated debate at the New York City Bar Association, titled “The Future of Women in Combat: Integration or Segregation?”. Mr. Wilson is the Secretary of the NYCBA’s Military Affairs & Justice Committee, which sponsored the debate. Broadcasted by C-SPAN, the debate revolved around the recent decision by the Department of Defense to lift restrictions on women serving in combat roles and included topics on military standards, recruitment and training, unit cohesion, physiological differences between men and women, and the lessons learned from other countries that have sent women into combat.
