Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that Jarrett Doe has joined its Chicago office as a partner in the firm’s Global Project, Energy & Infrastructure Finance Group.
"Jarrett has earned a reputation as a trusted adviser to some of the world's leading alternative asset managers, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the firm,” said Milbank Chairman Scott Edelman. "As private capital continues to reshape the energy and infrastructure landscape, his arrival further strengthens our market-leading platform. It also reflects our ongoing commitment to building a team of exceptional lawyers in our new Chicago office.”
Mr. Doe advises clients on a range of financing transactions, including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, asset-based finance and other structured credit transactions – particularly financial institutions and sponsors in connection with project financing and refinancing transactions, including construction financing, term financing, tax equity transactions, tax credit transfers and acquisition and divestiture transactions, as well as project development.
"The energy and infrastructure financing market has never been more dynamic or more complex," said Dan Bartfeld, Executive Committee member and chair of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. "The rising demand for power is driving huge, recurring capital needs and alternative asset managers are meeting that demand across the entire capital structure. Jarrett’s significant experience working with these institutions to evaluate opportunities, allocate investments among different pools of capital, and design structures to meet distinct commercial goals will be invaluable to our clients, and we are excited to welcome him to the team."
Milbank’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group has almost 200 dedicated energy and infrastructure attorneys globally and is at the helm of the largest and most high-profile transactions in the space. The group is regularly ranked the #1 legal adviser by volume and value in top-tier industry publications, most recently claiming the top spot in Proximo's H1 2026 Project Finance Legal Advisers League Table with 66 deals totaling nearly $100 billion — a 38% market share. In addition to the broader team, Mr. Doe will work closely with leading energy partner Nadav Klugman, who recently joined Milbank in Chicago.
“I have known Jarrett for many years and am thrilled to be working together once again,” said Mr. Klugman. “In addition to being a fantastic person to work with, his technical skill and understanding of the distinct perspectives of the most sophisticated players in private capital set him apart. As investors increasingly create bespoke financing solutions in the energy and infrastructure space, companies need advisers like Jarrett who understand their whole platform, not only a single product.”
“Joining Nadav and the rest of Milbank’s unparalleled energy and infrastructure team is a tremendous opportunity,” said Mr. Doe. “It is an exciting time to be in this space, and I look forward to working together to advise clients on their market-setting transactions.”
Mr. Doe joins Milbank from White & Case. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University and his B.S.E from the University of Michigan.
