Milbank LLP is pleased to announce that Nadav Klugman has joined as a partner in the firm’s Global Project, Energy & Infrastructure Finance Group. He will be based in the firm’s Chicago office upon its opening.
“Nadav is one of the most highly regarded attorneys in the energy transition sector, and we are very pleased to welcome him to Milbank,” said Milbank Chairman Scott Edelman. “Nadav is recognized as a star in this very exciting and growing area of our practice. We believe that Chicago can be an important new market for the firm to attract first-level talent that will allow us to better serve our clients.”
Mr. Klugman focuses his practice on a wide range of energy transition and structured corporate solutions, with a particular emphasis on advising financial institutions and sponsors on a wide range of project financings, private acquisitions/divestitures of renewable energy investments, and tax equity investments.
“Nadav brings deep experience across the full spectrum of energy and power and structured corporate solutions, and we are thrilled to welcome him to Milbank,” said Dan Bartfeld, Executive Committee member and chair of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. “The digital infrastructure build-out has transformed the energy landscape, and as the renewable energy and digital sectors increasingly converge, our team — recognized as the preeminent legal advisor driving both digital infrastructure and renewables transactions — will be even better situated to support our clients on their largest and most important transactions.”
“Financings for renewable energy assets have increased at an unprecedented rate as the demand for energy continues to accelerate,” commented Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner Mike Duff. “Nadav’s depth and breadth of experience will meaningfully strengthen our ability to deliver the sophisticated financing structures that our clients require and further cement our position as the market’s leading renewables platform.”
“I am thrilled to join the Milbank team at this pivotal time as the global economy focuses increasingly upon energy transition, corporate solutions and the interplay with the digital expansion,” said Mr. Klugman. “The firm’s platform is unmatched, and I look forward to opening our Chicago office and advising clients on their transformational transactions.”
Mr. Klugman joins Milbank from White & Case, where he was a partner and co-head of the firm’s Global Project Development and Finance Practice. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Brandeis University.
