- Overall Deal of the Year: Korean Air Lines Financing - First AFIC transactions
Milbank represented Korean Air Lines in connection with the $430 million financing of two Boeing 787-9 aircraft and one Boeing 747-8i aircraft, insured by AFIC insurers. - Editors’ Deal of the Year: Aero Capital Solutions Flexible Limited Recourse Revolving Warehouse Facility
Milbank represented Deutsche Bank as lead arranger in connection with an aircraft warehouse acquisition facility for Aero Capital Solutions in order to finance the acquisition of commercial aircraft subject to leases. - M&A Deal of the Year: GECAS/CDPQ $2 billion Joint Venture
Milbank advised Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a leading institutional asset manager, in connection with its agreement with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), an aircraft leasing company, to create a new global aircraft financing platform. - Innovative Deal of the Year: Atlas/Titan Aviation/Amazon - $306 million Risk Bifurcation
Milbank represented the note purchasers and lenders in a $306 million private placement and loan transaction for Atlas/Titan Aviation to finance 6 converted 767 freighters on lease to Amazon. The note purchasers and lenders benefited from separate collateral interests in the leases and aircraft, respectively.
