NEW YORK, December 5, 2016 – For the fifth year in a row, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. The report recognizes Milbank as one of the best places to work for LGBT individuals, as well as one of the top law firms for LGBT equality.
The first New York City-based law firm to offer health benefits to same-sex partners, Milbank is proud of its longstanding commitment to LGBT inclusion and pleased to once again receive this recognition from HRC.
The 2017 CEI officially rated 887 businesses and firms, evaluating them on detailed criteria under five categories including non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBT diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBT equality, and responsible citizenship. Milbank’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”
