Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has once again earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI). This is the 6th year in a row that Milbank has been designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

Reflecting its longstanding commitment to LGBT inclusion and equality, Milbank was the first New York City-based law firm to offer health benefits to same sex partners. The firm’s Pride affinity group for LGBT lawyers offers professional development and networking opportunities, and creates connections with on campus affinity groups for LGBT law students.

The 2018 CEI rated 609 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Milbank’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”
