Once again, Milbank Antitrust partner Alexander Rinne and associate Alexander Zyrewitz authored the Germany chapter, which was recently published in the 13th edition of The Merger Control Review, a guide on global antitrust merger reviews of leading law firms (Editor Ilene Knable Gotts, Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz). The chapter provides, among other subjects, a review of the German merger control developments in 2021, including key cases, an overview of the German merger control regime, consequences of completion without merger clearance and procedure as well as other strategic considerations.
The Merger Control Review, which is published by The Law Reviews, presents a summary of the process in jurisdictions as well as an indication of recent decisions, strategic considerations and likely upcoming developments in each of these. The intended readership of this book comprises both in-house and outside counsel who may be involved in the competition review of cross-border transactions.
