Our Parenting Affinity Group provides attorneys the opportunity to come together and share their experiences, discuss resources and best practices, and provide mutual support in navigating the issues that often arise in being a parent and a lawyer. Through ongoing group dialogue and informative events, the group fosters a sense of community and addresses the needs of parents.

Now more than ever, working parents are confronted by unprecedented challenges due to pandemic-related disruptions to educational and childcare systems. These concerns are exacerbated by the need to work from home, often alongside family members of all ages. Our “Parenting in the Pandemic” series of virtual events addressed these very issues.

Our Commitment to Members

As our firm grows in both size and diversity, we continue to support attorneys who need to integrate professional responsibilities and personal commitments. Providing a cooperative forum for those who have, or plan to have, children is integral to our culture.

The Parenting Affinity Group hosts a range of programming focused on helping attorneys across the firm and at all levels. This includes group discussions where members can share practical solutions and “life hacks,” as well as one-on-one coaching sessions addressing work/life integration.

Milbank recognizes the demands of working parents. We provide a supportive environment that includes family-friendly policies and resources, such as backup childcare options, childcare educational services and a range of EAP and Wellness programs.
