Rehan Hanif

Primary Focus & Experience

Mr. Hanif brings extensive banking and finance experience, with a focus on European cross-border real estate finance transactions. He advises a wide range of clients, including lenders, debt funds, private equity sponsors, and other real estate investors on the structuring and financing of all types of commercial real estate debt.

His transactional experience spans commercial investment property financings, development loans, hotel finance and loan-on-loan structures. In addition, Mr. Hanif has advised on Islamic finance arrangements, drawing on his experience working in the Middle East. Mr. Hanif has also spent time on secondment at Oaktree Capital Management-owned funds.

Mr. Hanif’s recent transactions include:

• Advised Arini on a £186 million refinancing capital solution for Goldman Sachs-Backed Riverstone Living.*
• Advised Oaktree Capital Management on a €200 million back leverage facility from J.P. Morgan to Support Xenia Capital.*
• Advised Henderson Park in connection with the refinancing of a portfolio of 13 hotels across England, Scotland and Ireland, with a portfolio value of over £850 million.*
• Advised DRC Savills Investment Management on the refinancing and capex facility for the redevelopment of Fitzroy House.*
• Advised TPG Angelo Gordon on the first Islamic finance transaction for its Net Lease Real Estate Europe team.*
