Primary Focus & Experience
Paul advises sponsors, corporates, and financial institutions on complex cross-border finance transactions, with a focus on acquisition finance, project finance, direct lending, and structured credit across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, India, and Europe. Prior to joining Milbank in 2026, Paul developed significant experience at a leading international law firm headquartered in the UK, where he acted on a number of high-profile and market-leading transactions. Representative matters include:
- The mandated lead arrangers on the SGD 460 million financing of Bain Capital's acquisition of purpose-built worker dormitories from JTC Corporation in Singapore, one of the largest private capital transactions in Singapore's accommodation infrastructure sector, and the arrangers on Bain Capital's cross-border acquisition of Novopor US.
- The mandated lead arrangers on the financing of CVC Capital Partners' investment in A Bathing Ape (BAPE), the iconic Japanese streetwear brand.
- The mandated arrangers on the financing of KKR's investment in Vini Cosmetics, one of India's fastest-growing personal care companies.
- The mandated lead arrangers on multiple financing transactions for leading Indian corporates, including Motherson Group (a global automotive components manufacturer) and the Aurobindo group (a major pharmaceutical company).
- Coda on its acquisition of the Recharge group, Europe’s largest prepaid payments platform.
- INEOS on the acquisition of BP’s global petrochemical business for US$5 billion.
- Wise (formerly TransferWise) on its £160 million pre-IPO credit facility, ahead of the company's direct listing on the London Stock Exchange—one of the largest-ever European fintech IPOs.
- GSK plc on the demerger and separate listing of Haleon plc, GSK's consumer healthcare division, in one of the largest London Stock Exchange listings in over a decade.
- Cineworld Group plc, the world's second-largest cinema chain, on its successful emergence from Chapter 11 proceedings in the United States and concurrent pre-packaged administration in England—a complex cross-border restructuring involving multiple jurisdictions.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Prior to joining Milbank, Paul was an associate at a top-tier international law firm headquartered in the UK. He holds a BA in Law from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics. He is admitted to practice before the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
