Mike Frieda is an associate in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group.

Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Frieda represents clients in federal and state courts in complex commercial litigation and financial restructuring litigation.
Mr. Frieda has represented creditors, private equity sponsors, and official committees in bankruptcy proceedings and other litigation matters arising out of insolvency scenarios and financial restructuring transactions. He has represented creditors in connection with receivership petitions, garnishment proceedings, and related litigation.
Mr. Frieda additionally has experience representing clients in class action securities cases and patent litigation.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Frieda earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was a James Wilson Merits Scholar. While in law school, Mr. Frieda was an executive editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. Mr. Frieda received a Certificate in Management from the Wharton School.
He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from California Lutheran University.
Mr. Frieda has assisted in the authorship of Litigating Securities Class Actions, Chapter 10, "Claims Involving Investment Companies."
